Monkey business.

There’s been a lot of monkey business going on around our neck of the woods…but, I think I found the biggest culprit!!

Cousins.

I have 5 cousins.  3 on my Mom’s side and 2 on my Dad’s side.  We aren’t very close as we are all spread out, 2 in Colorado, 2 in Modesto and 1 in LA, but I’d like to think we are all friends.  I often wonder what it would have been like to grow up living around the corner from them and knowing them in a much deeper way.  I wonder if my girl cousins would have been like the sisters I never had. I wonder if we would have shared holidays together every year or played endless games of Marco Polo in our grandma’s pool.

I do know that these cousins will grow up close and be buddies for life.  4 boys and one girl.  What an amazing blessing each of them are! I imagine the oldest 3 boys will be so protective of the adorable twins.  Especially their sweet little girl. They are already arguing over who gets to hold her on their lap! (How sweet is that?!)

The oldest is in 2nd grade.  He’s a cutie and I’m sure will be a little heartbreaker when he gets older…

The middle ones are brothers and are adorably sweet.

The babies are soo cute and pudgy I just LOVE it!

Love this picture.  Dad’s are standing behind me telling the boys to look tough.  Way too cute.:)

My hope for them is that they will always be there for each other.  I can’t imagine how it would be any other way… they do come from 3 sisters!

A family revisited.

Last fall I had several very fun family shoots. This one was at the top of the list.  I was going through some photos on my computer and I came across these that I had not yet shared.  Want to see?

 Happy Sunday!

1 year old.

Where did the time go? I am still not quite sure, as it seems just yesterday that my little bubb was born.  One of my favorite photographers in San Diego took pics of the little peanut when he was 10 days old.  Check out the post on her blog http://www.kimporterphotography.com/?p=732

So here it is one year later. So much has changed in our lives, but I cannot even imagine one single moment without my little guy.  He is a breath of sunshine on my cloudy days and I think one of these days he will actually say, “Mommy!” instead of the “Dada” I hear all day long right now.:)  I am amazed at how much his personality grows each day – I feel blessed to be able to stay home without missing any of the little firsts.  I know it changes so quickly – I try hard to savor the moments as they come, some days being easier than others.  It’s hard to get too discouraged though, when you look at his sweet smile and hear his hearty laugh.  I love him so much!

Happy Birthday little bubb!
